Covid-19 has swiftly spread to every corner of the globe, and has left a deep impact on the world of traditional and alternative medicine. Homeopathy is a 200 year old traditional healing practice, and is widely used as a form of natural treatment for minor illnesses. With Covid-19 came an influx of questions concerning the role Homeopathy can play in preventing and treating the virus. For people who are unfamiliar with Homeopathy, it is a holistic medical system designed to stimulate the body's own natural healing mechanisms. It is based on the principle that "like cures like", and that a substance that causes a symptom can also be used to to cure that symptom. Homeopathy uses very small doses of healing substances derived from plant, mineral, or animal sources, which are individually tailored to the patient. Homeopathic remedies are generally considered safe and have been in use for centuries, making it an attractive alternative medical practice at a time when the Covid-19 pandemic has spread further. A large body of scientific research is beginning to emerge demonstrating the effectiveness of Homeopathic treatments for illnesses and diseases such as headaches, asthma, hay fever and influenza. While there is still limited evidence available on the efficacy of Homeopathy for treating Covid-19, some studies suggest that a combination of Homeopathy and conventional medicine can be beneficial in managing Covid-19 symptoms. It is important to note that Homeopathy should not be used as a substitute for conventional medical treatments. It is always best to consult your doctor for diagnosis and treatment options. Homeopathy can be an effective complementary treatment alongside conventional medical advice and treatments.
